I used the Butterick 6698 pattern for this piece. I kept the arms long and shortened the rest.
The kimono is made out of a stretchy brocade type material. I’m not sure exactly what it is though. The obi belt has 4 parts. One to hold the robe closed (not pictured), one to put over the top of that (Black Brocade), white canvas over the top of that and then a leather belt that my friend made me on top of that.
The shoes are also hand made as well.
Please let me know if you would be interested in purchasing a custom kimono for yourself or a loved one. I make these to order and they usually ship out 7-10 days from date ordered.
ENJOY!
