Hello- I was hoping to make the danielle dress (9306) , but the wear while I’m pregnant. Does anyone have any suggestions for me on how to best do that? I was thinking that if I just increased the material around the waist and added more darts through the belly? Sound right?

You might consider cutting the front hemline on a slight downward curve. This will give the front enough extra length to avoid looking like you caught your dress front in your pantyhose. Cordially, Nehmah

It looks like a perfect style for the two of you. Because of the high waist you might not need to change anything. Just get the size that is right for your bust. Fabric with some percentage of elastane for comfort could be considered.

I received a serger for Christmas and it is a fantastic machine. I was reading the manual and it discusses the installation of a spreader. What is a spreader?

SPREADER
A feature of some serger models that blocks the eye of the upper looper during the formation of reduced thread stitches. The lower looper thread is forced to serve as the upper looper thread; two thread versions of stitches that usually require three or four threads reduce bulk and improve stretchability.
Congrats on your new serger!

Nadineskirts – you’d be best to start a new thread in this section :
Someone help me
(This thread here is where people can ask BurdaStyle.com to create new tutorials/“how-to’s” on different sewing techniques.)
Best wishes,
Seemane :)
