To upload a technique select the “Learning” tab in the home page, and then select “Add a Technique” in the upper right hand corner of this section OR you can go to the “My Studio” tab in your Profile page and select “Add a Technique” from the My Toolkit section.

Enter the required information and images. Click “add instructions”. Add the step description and images and click “Add this step” for each step. Once you are done click “Publish”.

The technique will be saved to your studio. To share with the BurdaStyle community select “Publish Technique” on the following screen or access the technique in your “My Studio” section and click on the “Publish” link.

Should you need to edit a Technique, go to the “My Studio” tab in your Profile page and select “My Toolkit” section. Find the Technique you want to update and click on “Edit”. You can then choose to edit the technique overview information or its instructions. Once you are done editing select “Update”.

I have a problem making a technique…. I entered in all the intro page feilds, piced and image and then when I tried to add a step I got the 500 Internal Error. I then noticed that the technique had been saved to My Studio, and so I went in to Edit the technique, and the only option was to Edit the intro… so I tweaked the intro description and hit Update, hoping I would be able to atleast get to Add a Step…. no luck. 500 Internal Error again. Help? Please?

I’ve been trying to delete and re-upload, but I get the same problem. I’ll try again later.

I still can’t upload a technique! :( I keep getting 500 internal error messages and screens that tell me the things I tried to change I don’t have access to.

I have a similar problem to wzrdreams, but no 500 error. I started uploading a technique. It let me do the intro page and step one, and then it published it. But it didn’t even publish the whole thing. It only published the intro and that’s the only thing I can edit. I haven’t tried again, but my experience with BurdaStyle was bad before this.

Did you receive an error code or did it just publish part of your information? Where did the information stop at when it published your technique? Also, what server are you using?

The 500 Internal Server Error is a very general browser error meaning something has gone wrong on the web site’s server but the server could not be more specific on what the exact problem is. The 500 Internal Server Error is a “server-side” error, meaning the problem is not with your PC or Internet connection but instead is a problem with the web site’s server.
