Blouses can be worn all year round— but the summertime is the most fun time to wear blouses, as they can really make the entire outfit.
One can never have too many blouses. They dress a pair of jeans up, they add a splash of color to a neutral ensemble, and they make for great layering pieces. So, I had to spotlight my favorite blouses on BurdaStyle so you too can have a closet full of blouses.
1. 1970s Layered Eyelet Blouse: Make a chic rock n’ roll statement in a this layered blouse made from white eyelet. Wear it with cowboy boots and jeans like this user— or over a little black dress like I’m dreaming to do…
2. Sleeveless Printed Black Blouse: A blouse can make for the perfect blank canvas for screen-printing your designs onto your garments. Check out this lovely number and be inspired to sew and print.
3. Plaid Rockabilly Blouse: This blouse is so cute in a red and white plaid, very Americana, very Rockabilly… a nice country take on fashion.
4. Black Off-The-Shoulder Blouse: Turn it up a notch and make a romantic black off-the-shoulder blouse for evening… You could even lengthen this pattern into a dress and have 2-in-1 pattern.
5. Cropped Jungle Blouse: High-waist trousers, skirts and shorts are not going anywhere too quickly. So? You can wear cropped tops and not have to show your belly, like this one.
6. Polka Dot Blouse: Our beloved Alexander blouse is a hot topic at the BurdaStyle office. We love the peplum, the polka dots and the fun of this blouse. And Alden just looks so good in this style. <3

Hello
Was wondering what type of fabric would be used for the eyelet blouse/jacket. Is the fabric available in any Canadian stores?

What makes this blouse spectacular certainly is the fabric. It looks like a cotton eyelet, but most importantly, it is an eyelet that has scalloped edges— which creates those nice looking “ruffles”. You should be able to find cotton eyelet in most fabric retailers, B&J Fabrics has it available online though too. Good luck!
